Fr Greg's Bio
Fr. Greg Gerhart grew up in Allen, Texas, and heard his vocation to the priesthood at the age of 14 when attending a week of summer camp at the Pines Catholic Camp. Before entering seminary, he graduated from Texas A&M in 2009 with a B.A. in English, and while at A&M, he worked at the Pines, taught catechism at St. Thomas Aquinas, and played for the men’s ultimate frisbee team, eventually becoming the captain/coach his senior year. Fr. Greg attended seminary at St. Joseph Seminary College in Louisiana and the North American College in Rome, and he was ordained to the priesthood on July 9, 2016. Since being ordained, Fr. Greg has finished a Licentiate in moral theology from the Angelicum, served as associate pastor of San Jose in Austin and St. Mary’s in College Station, and now serves as the vocation director.

Julie's Bio
Mrs. Julie Gray was called to the Vocations Office in August 2011. She and hubby Jim moved to Austin in 1986 and so are not the cause of all the extra traffic in Austin. She has two fantastically fabulous kids, Manon and James, and now grandson Martin. Julie loves a good pun and, not one to judge, even the bad ones. She has a fierce devotion to the office mission and her peeps. Favorite saints are many, but at the top of the list are St. Anthony of Padua, kept on retainer, and St. Jude.
Audry's bio
Audry lived in Leander all her life until it was time for an 4-year adventure at College Station, where she first heard the Lord’s call for her life during a homily by Fr. Greg in Fall 2024. Since graduating from Texas A&M in 2025 with a B.S. in Computer Science, she struggled to find her path forward until Lent of 2026 when she was invited by Fr. Greg and the Vocations Office to assist in the mission to help others respond joyfully to the Lord’s invitation for their lives. Audry loves serving God’s kingdom here on earth and growing in trust with the Lord. Her favorite devotions are to the Most Holy Face of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Andrea's bio
Andrea was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley until moving to Austin in 2019 to attend the University of Texas at Austin (Hook Em’!). While pursuing her B.A. in English, she was able to work alongside Fr. Greg in editing his two discernment books – D180 for men and women. This collaboration introduced Andrea to the Office of Vocations, where upon graduating from UT in 2023, she began working full-time! Her two favorite saints are St. Therese of Lisieux and St. Francis of Assisi.
Fr. Fyall's Bio
Fr. Scott Fyall grew up in Dripping Springs, TX, and responded to God’s call to enter seminary at age 27. Before seminary he worked at The American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank in Washington, D.C., and found great joy serving on his parish’s RCIA team. Prior to that he attended Williams College where he majored in Political Science and History and competed in Varsity Football and Crew. Fr. Scott attended seminary at Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas and the North American College in Rome, and he was ordained to the priesthood on June 14, 2025. Since being ordained, Fr. Scott has served as the Associate Chaplain of the University Catholic Center at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as in the Office of Vocations.
Fr. Spears' Bio
Fr. Ladd Spears was born and raised in Austin, Texas in a Presbyterian family, and didn’t become Catholic until the year after he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2010, where he earned a B.S. in Controls Engineering and was a member of the Varsity Offshore Sailing Team. Prior to seminary, he spent seven years on active duty as a submarine officer, during which time he also volunteered as a Catholic lay leader on his sub and a Confirmation catechist while on shore duty. He entered seminary at Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas for his initial studies before completing his theological studies at St. Mary Seminary in Houston, after which he was ordained to the priesthood on June 14, 2025. He currently serves as the parochial vicar at St. Louis Catholic Church and Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School in Waco.
